Its a shock and great sadness to me to hear about bob's passing. My condolences to Diane and family.I share many happy memories with bob and our other old mate vaughn thomas.Bob was a real gentleman and had a great sense of humour, a typical ginner, one of the best . RIP see you up there one day pal.

Just wondering if anyone remembers the name of the lad that got shot whilst on guard at Buller Barracks in 1989?
My memory is that his name was Wood, Shot by Sherret (very unclear on that name). The man that tried so hard to save him was Sgt Robinson and it was on christmas eve 1989.
I'd be grateful if anyone can confirm these details as im looking for the news paper article from that time. Poor sod only got a couple of inches in a side…Continue

bobs funeral will be held at La Zenia church Orihuela Costa Spain on Wednesday 25th at 1300 hrs CET.
I hope I have put this on the right page if not can some one put it on the right page for all members to see.
It is with deep regret I have to announce that our friend and member Bod Royce past away last night Thursday 19th at is home here in Spain.
Diane is being looked after by friends and Bob and diane's family are flying out to be with her.
At the moment the funeral will be Wednesday 25th I will keep all informed.

In following up my post a few months back on tt driver hero Malcolm Bignall B.E.M., many thanks to all who responded with help. I found the location of his BEM medal and have since researched the event at Hurstbourne Tarrant through their local press and have visited the local pub and met the locals.

HI anybody remember me Pete aldous Cpl. B troop Under Fred Hill. Paddy langly (ROY) was best man at my wedding. Myself he and Bob chester were best mates and pretty much inseperable. I was in billet with them Taffy Pugh, Terry Rayworth I remember Mick Knapper and farmer Giles ( he trained me up to B2)
