why is so hard to find lost friends that you remembered and have always remembered all your life. you met them when there was a a war or whatever. they left and you think of them as friends and then you lose touch. i have tried every where to trace them but to no avail . a few seems to know them but no one wants to get back to you after you mention their names. Is it because they have passed on or sick? I would happy even if they tell me that rather than not knowing.

Wow thanks Colin for the reply, yes I don't think you know me as i cannot remember the name but maybe if you have been with the troop that were in Miri Sarawak during the confrontation around 1965-66 maybe you would have known me. I used to know a guy called Keith but don't recall his surname and he was there before the 4rtr came at the end of the confrontation and withdrawal of the troop from Miri. I have however posted his picture in the tank transporter gallery or forum. The other one that i knew was Geordie Beckwith he was definitely with 4rtr. you know i have been looking for theses guys for a while now and no one seem to know or want to know. I know it was such a long time ago but I always remember them and of course we were young then but my memories of the guys is still fresh as if it was yesterday even though I was married with children and grandchildren. The short time i had with them was good, i met keith first and when he left i met Geordie. I would love to be at any reunion except I am in Melbourne and if I had known all this I would have done so as I lived in Aberdeen for 15 years when the old man was alive and working on the oil rig there. Thanks and look forward to hear from anyone at all that knew my mates.

Does any body know  s/sgt bob lamont  19tktptr ranby or arther maurice kent, smith 898, jock ballentyne all at ranby 1962 1967  cheers,
