Those of you who attend the reunion in Liverpool will be aware that Blackie ensures there is a charitable spin off. I was rather touched by last years speeches in relation to BLESMA that raises funds for limbless ex servicemen and women.
I think we are aware more than anybody that the situation in Afghanistan in relation to the casualties is somewhat kept under the radar. My friend's son is currently on his 2nd tour and he is just 21 years old. On his first tour his regiment lost 2 dead and had double figure amputee casualties.
I'm off my backside to run the London Marathon this year and of course I'll do it for BLESMA. As this is "our charity" in Tank Transporting please consider sponsoring me a small sum on line.
We all like to help and if not now - when? The giving page stays open until 3 months after the event and payment goes direct to Blesma.

Just to update you all - I dragged myself round in 5 hrs 14 minutes and Never Again .. ran if you can call my style that, the first 24 and struggled home after a short walk.
THANK YOU to all Tank Transporting colleagues for supporting our charity - with Gift Aid we've raised over 2k
